Drum Jamming Ìrawọ̀, also known as Disc Jockey Ìrawọ̀, is a Drummer, Songwriter, Singer, Disc Jockey and Recording Artist with DJ Ìrawọ̀ Limited.
Electro-Dùndún, created by DJ Ìràwọ̀, is Conscious Music that blends the rhythmic heartbeat of the Yorùbá Dùndún Talking Drums with the energy of various musical genres such as Electronic Dance Music, Afrobeat, Jazz, Classical, Hip-Hop, Soul, Folk, Rock and High Life.
Her major musical instruments are the Gángan and Ìyá Ìlù from the Dùndún family of Talking Drums and the DJ Controller.
In 2022, she was interviewed on the BBC Yorùbá.
In 2017, she was interviewed on the BBC UK. She has also been interviewed on several Nigerian television stations, magazines, blogs and newspapers.
In 2015, she pioneered adding the sound of the Dùndún Talking Drums to a DJ set by blending live Gángan Talking Drumbeats with her music mixes.
In 2012, she pioneered using the Dùndún Talking Drums as jazz and classical musical instruments. Evidence of this is when she competed with MUSON students at the Christmas Magic music competition organised by the Musical Society of Nigeria (MUSON) and Art Colony International, where she won the competition.
In 2006, she pioneered singing the Nigerian National Anthem with the Gángan Talking Drum at an NYSC event in Abuja. She performed the National Anthem again on NTA-E, Abuja in 2015 and at several events. You can watch a video here. In 2024, she performed the new National Anthem at an event.
As a Drummer, she performs her own songs, folk songs and national anthems of different countries.
As a Disc Jockey, she performs her own songs and those of other musicians in different genres and languages. She also dances to her mixes.
