Nigeria on Saturday June 13, 2015 experienced the results of a successful workshop tagged 'Electronic Soundscapes' (what is known to be the first of its kind in the country) where the best of European and Nigerian electronic music was performed live by DJs R-Ash, Afrologic and Marko Fürstenberg alongside the workshop participants: DJ Sketch, DJ Bally, DJ Java, PJEGK, Irawo Drumline and DJ Kwest at the Federal Government Printing Press, 9 Broad Street, Lagos Island, Lagos.
It
was truly an amazing experience for all those who made it to the massive garage
where live mixing and scratching was done by these talented individuals.
The
high points of the night were when the only female DJ, DJ Irawo gave a
talking drum rendition and fused it with electronic music, then DJ Bally combined trap music, hip hop and the electronic sounds together and finally the
master scratcher, DJ R-Ash gave everyone a real taste of live scratching and
wonderful music.
Next
stop is Abuja on Saturday, June 20, 2015, to commemorate World
Music Day.
