DJ Ìràwọ̀ Divorce Rights Consulting

As a Divorce Rights Consultant, I educate, advise and support men and women going through a divorce by helping them understand their legal rights, responsibilities and available options, especially in non-legal or pre-legal contexts.

I AM NOT A LAWYER AND I DO NOT ACT AS ONE.

I am an accountant and mental health coach. I provide financial and emotional clarity and guidance around the divorce process.

Below are my responsibilities as a Divorce Rights Consultant:

1.      Information and Education

A. Explaining the basic rights of each spouse in a divorce, e.g., property division, child custody, spousal support, etc.

B.  Clarifying common legal terms and processes without giving formal legal advice.

C.  Helping clients understand what to expect at different stages of a divorce.

2.      Support in Decision-Making

A. Helping clients explore different routes: mediation, collaborative divorce or litigation.

B.  Assisting in identifying key issues to prepare for discussions with a lawyer or mediator.

3.      Documentation Assistance

A. Guiding clients in gathering and organising necessary documents e.g., financial records, property titles, etc.

B.  Helping clients prepare questions or personal statements for court or mediation settings.

4.      Empowerment and Advocacy

A. Ensuring clients are aware of their rights, especially important for people at risk of being manipulated or pressured, e.g., stay-at-home parents, immigrants or those in abusive relationships.

B.  Providing referrals to lawyers, therapists or shelters, where necessary.

5.      Financial Advisory: As an accountant, I provide financial advice concerning your divorce.

6.      Emotional Support

A. Offering clarity coaching during an emotionally turbulent period.

B.  Helping clients set goals for life post-divorce.

Who Might Use a Divorce Rights Consultant?

A.             Someone overwhelmed by legal jargon or afraid of being short-changed in the process.

B.              People who cannot afford a full-time lawyer but need direction. This option is subject to terms and conditions.

C.             Women or men exiting abusive or financially controlling relationships.

D.             Individuals dealing with international marriages, cultural expectations or faith-based marital systems where a couple seeks an alternative to divorce.

Before now, I used to provide my service as Divorce Mentality but now, I provide this service under DJ Ìràwọ̀ Limited as a financial service because the core of my divorce consulting is on the financial rights of my clients.
